The calculator provides an indicative estimate based on the vehicle price, down payment, repayment term and a model interest rate. The final monthly payment, interest rate, required down payment and other terms may vary depending on the specific vehicle, the customer’s credit profile and approval by the finance provider. We can also arrange financing for a vehicle you are not buying through Hladamauto.eu.

Everything you need to know
01 What if I have already found a specific car?
Simply give Otto the listing link or the basic vehicle details. We check the car, the seller and the documents, calculate the total cost and, depending on the services you choose, arrange the purchase, import and administration so all that is left for you is to enjoy the car.
02 Where can I look for a car?
On virtually any vehicle marketplace in Slovakia or abroad – for example mobile.de, AutoScout24, willhaben.at, Gocar.be, Marktplaats.nl, AutoTrack.nl, sauto.cz, autobazar.eu or autobazar.sk. Send us the link to the car you have chosen and we will take care of the rest. We also have access to partner auctions for ex-lease vehicles.
03 Can you find a car based on my requirements?
Yes. Tell us the model, equipment, age, mileage and budget you have in mind. We will find suitable options and check the specific vehicle and seller before purchase.
04 How do you check the vehicle and the seller?
You can choose a check of the vehicle history, VIN, documents and seller, or a physical inspection by a technician at the vehicle’s location. We always tailor the scope of the inspection to the specific car and country.
05 What if the inspection finds a problem?
We will explain the findings and any potential risks. We will not buy the car without your approval. Depending on the situation, we can try to negotiate a remedy or a better price, or start looking for another vehicle.
06 Can I use only some of the services?
Yes. You do not have to use the entire process. We can provide only the services you need, such as vehicle inspection, transport, administration, financing or insurance.
07 How much do the import and your services cost?
The price depends on the vehicle’s location and the services you choose. We use insured transport by car carrier or recovery vehicle. Otto shows the individual items and an estimated total in the calculator.
08 How long does the whole process take?
From confirmation of the purchase, the whole process usually takes around 10 to 20 working days – including transport, the required administration and handover of the vehicle ready to use in Slovakia.
09 How does VAT work when buying a car from abroad?
The VAT treatment depends on the specific vehicle, the seller, how the advertised price is stated and whether you are buying as a VAT-registered business. If you are unsure, select “I don’t know” in Otto and we will verify the VAT treatment before you confirm the offer.
10 Can you arrange financing or leasing?
Yes. We will prepare an indicative calculation and help arrange financing through our partners. Final terms depend on the vehicle, down payment, repayment term and approval by the finance provider.
11 Can you also help sell my current car?
Yes. We can buy your current vehicle and use it as a trade-in against the new one, or sell it on consignment. We can help with valuation, listing preparation, communication with buyers and the sale itself.
12 How does payment for the vehicle work?
First, you pay for the type of vehicle inspection you selected at the price shown in the calculator. If everything checks out and you decide to proceed, you pay a deposit of 20% of the vehicle price. With financing or leasing, you pay the agreed down payment. We then purchase the vehicle and invoice it directly to you; the deposit or down payment is deducted from the final price.
13 Can you arrange compulsory and comprehensive insurance?
Yes. We can prepare a no-obligation quote for compulsory and comprehensive insurance and help arrange the cover before the vehicle is handed over.
14 How does the warranty work?
For selected vehicles, we can arrange an extended mechanical breakdown warranty for up to three years. Availability, cover and price depend on the vehicle’s age, mileage and type.
